I. To promote youth engagement and a deeper understanding of Taiwan through experiential learning, the Youth Development Administration (YDA) of the Ministry of Education has collaborated with non-profit organizations and higher education institutions to establish "Youth Travel Points" across the country. These points integrate local characteristics and resources to provide consistent and in-depth community service and experiential learning activities. The programs cover diverse themes, including culture, indigenous communities, ecology, rural and fishing villages, and physical fitness, enabling domestic and international youth aged 15 to 35 to explore the humanities, lifestyles, and regional specialties of various parts of Taiwan.
II. To further expand opportunities for international youth to experience Taiwan in depth, the "International Youth Travel Attraction" initiative has been launched. This program encourages Youth Travel Points to leverage their unique local charm to develop profound cultural experiences tailored for international youth. The goal is to facilitate the exploration of Taiwan by international youth, thereby enhancing the influence of Taiwanese culture and the effectiveness of youth exchange.
III. To effectively bridge the aforementioned resources with the exchange needs of international youth, the relevant information regarding Youth Travel Points that possess "International Youth Travel Attraction" has been compiled. This includes the location, local experiential content, and key highlights. This information is provided for the reference and use of various departments when organizing international student receptions, exchange programs, short-term training, international internships, youth exchanges, sister school visits, or other international youth activities.
IV. The experiential content of the Youth Travel Points covers themes such as local culture, indigenous community life, rural and fishing villages, food and agriculture education, natural ecology, mountains and oceans, traditional crafts, local industries, and sustainable actions. Depending on the number of participants, language requirements, and specific exchange needs, relevant activities can be arranged by contacting the respective Youth Travel Points directly.
V. Information regarding the Youth Travel Points can be accessed through the Youth Development Administration's "Youth Travel Experiential Learning Website" (https://youthtravel.tw/).
